The New Liturgical Movement

Posted by Andrew on Jul 24th, 2007

I emailed the founder and editor of the New Liturgical Movement weblog, Shawn Tribe, and he kindly posted the two pictures of the Altar-ation at Our Lady Queen of Heaven on his blog, to showcase to Catholics what can be done with Altar tables to turn them into High Altars.

The contributors to NLM had some really good suggestions. It seems that covering the mensa of the altar, as they suggested, with a piece of plywood the same width as the candlebench would make a big difference with little extra work or expenditure.

Agreed. I hope we can maybe experiment some to see which ideas work and which don’t.

By the way, your pictures made it over to Father Z’s blog, too.
